A diploma will be issued upon successful completion of all of the required 164 hours and completed competency and skills checklists and once the graduate passes the state competency exam.

You'll learn all of the clinical and clerical tools it takes to be a successful CNA and advance in the field of healthcare. Here is a list of just some of skills you will learn:

  • Aid in mobility
  • Correct feeding steps
  • Effective grooming techniques
  • Effective teamwork skills
  • Expected professional behavior
  • How to dress patients
  • Proper communications, behavioral techniques
  • Proper techniques in bathing
  • Safe toileting

The program will take about 6.5 weeks and can be completed in less than two months. The course consists of 164 hours; the theory portion has 60 hours of classroom instruction; the clinical portion has 104 hours.

To ensure that applicants meet the entry-level requirements for training that will lead toward certification, we require certain documentation for students enrolling in our CNA course. Students must be 18 years old or older AND

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination
  • A recent TB test
  • Live Scan clearance that will be sent to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
  • Must pass an exam for state certification at the end of your program
